Chef Adrianne Calvo continues to expand her culinary footprint in Miami, launching her latest restaurant Forte by Chef Adrianne last week in Coral Gables. The chef, who is also behind restaurants like Redfish and Cracked, highlights Italian cuisine and ingredients for his latest venture.

Seafood dominates the appetizer section at Forte with dishes like salmon carpaccio, fish crudo, and raw tuna. The ‘burrata bar’ offers diners three different ways to eat the creamy cheese topped with items like almond and pistachio pesto, braised cippolini onions and garlic breadcrumbs. Like any proper Italian menu, you’ll find plenty of pasta at Forte, including classics like cacio e pepe, tagliatelle bolognese, carbonara, rigatoni, and tortellini stuffed with mortadella. More hearty dishes like roasted whole branzino, braised lamb shank, Florentine veal chop, as well as a variety of wood-fired pizzas complete the menu.

The restaurant’s name pays homage to Calvo’s mother and her Sicilian heritage by using her maiden name. Taking over the old Cibo Wine Bar location on Miracle Mile, Forte’s interior features plenty of rustic brick accents, medieval-style archways, and a wine cellar that’s mostly on display in the middle of the space.

Forte by Chef Adrianne is located at 45 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. Forte is now open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. For more information visit ForteMiami.com or call 305.517.6181
